Aradia Advantage

With foundations in yoga, pilates and dance, Aradia™ offers fitness classes specifically tailored for a woman’s body. Aradia takes a holistic approach to fitness offering benefits that serve a woman’s mind, body and soul. Students gain confidence as they build physical strength, flexibility and conditioning. Students also gain a sense of wellness as they learn to adore, celebrate and flaunt every curve of their body. Dance classes  for adults are tailored  to bring musicality, rhythm, and movement to their fitness regimen.

From the moment you walk in the door, you will feel welcomed. We will start slow, teaching you the basics as you build up strength and confidence. Before you know it, you’ll be challenging yourself to try moves and spins you never thought you’d be able to do!  Classes are lighthearted, warm and full of laughter. We offer a variety of dance classes for women. Women come for the workout and stay for the wonderful sense of community and celebration!

Pole Dance Levels and Progressions

Levels Pole 1 – Pole 7

Each of these structured sessions gives our students a solid foundation in pole dancing & sensual movement. These classes are lively, sexy, and fun! Beginner classes incorporate the Aradia Fitness floor workout (our sexy take on Yoga) as well as fundamental pole dance transitions, spins, tricks and strength building exercises.  Clients must attend at least eight (8) classes of each level before being eligible to advance to the next level.  For safety reasons, Aradia Fitness requires all clients to pass an assessment prior to advancing.   Ladies are welcome to attend any Pole Level class at their current approved level or any lower level.

Aradia Fitness Loudoun also offers  Mixed-Level pole dance class options for clients to attend in addition to their structured pole level class – Beginner Pole(Pole 1 & Pole 2), Intermediate Pole (Pole 3 & Pole 4) and Advanced Pole (Pole 5, 6, & 7). Mixed level classes can count towards a student’s 8 class minimum for pole advancement & assessment.

** IMPORTANT ** First-time pole dance students must begin with a “Teaser: Intro to Pole Dance Class”. After completion of your Teaser class, you will then be eligible to attend any Pole 1 class on the schedule. We offer 7 levels of pole dance classes and follow a structured curriculum so clients can safely advance through the levels. During your first class, your instructor will give you an overview of how clients can progress through their pole journey at Aradia Fitness!

 

** IMPORTANT ** Clients who are a first-time visitor to Aradia Fitness Loudoun, but already have pole dance experience, should email us at loudoun@aradiafitness.com prior to your first class for an email consultation & level placement. Pole Dancing Classes

TEASER (INTRO TO POLE DANCING CLASS)

The Aradia Fitness signature “Teaser” class is the perfect introduction to Pole Dance & Sensual Movement for fitness! Students will be taken through our one-of-a-kind sexy mat workout & warm-up. Afterwards, the instructor will introduce the student to foundations of pole dance techniques & exercises. The “Teaser” class is a required prerequisite prior to attending any Pole 1 or Beginner Pole class on the schedule.

 

POLE LEVEL 1

This level introduces clients to the perfect mix of pole work and sensual movement, transforming your mind & body as you “Meet Your Sexy Side”.  This class is designed as a 4-week lesson plan rotation and includes an important mix of our sexy yoga-fusion workout as well as strength training on the pole.  Clients will learn a variety of pole dance spins and transitions. They will learn to put them together into mini choreographed dance sequences.

Prerequisite to attend Pole Level 1 is completion of at least one “Teaser” class or instructor approval.  Clients must attend a minimum of eight (8) classes of Pole 1 & complete an assessment before being eligible to “Level Up” to Pole 2

POLE LEVEL 2

In Pole Level 2, clients continue to explore more challenging spins, tricks & transitions and will be introduced to pole climbing, sitting and inverting. We will begin to phase out the sexy yoga-fusion workout and transition to more strength-training using the pole.  This level  is based on a 4-week lesson plan rotation.

Prerequisite to attend Pole Level 2 classes is completion of a Pole Level 1 “Level Up” assessment or have instructor approval before attending any Pole Level 2 class.  Clients must attend a minimum of eight (8) classes of Pole Level 2 prior to “Level Up” to Pole Level 3.

BEGINNER POLE 

Beginner Pole is a mixed level pole class for beginner pole students in Pole 1 or Pole 2.  Topics covered will be techniques from these levels.  This less formal class gives clients an extra, guided pole workout geared specifically for beginner level students.

 Attending and completing at least one “Teaser” or instructor approval is required to attend a Beginner Pole.  Attendance in Beginner Pole will count towards the eight (8) class minimum for Pole Level 1 or Pole Level 2 “Level Up” assessments.

POLE LEVEL 3

At Pole Level 3  clients will be introduced to flying high on the pole as we strengthen our inverting and climbing techniques. The skills and strength acquired in Pole Level 1 and Pole Level 2 will begin to pay off as you begin to take on challenging spins, tricks and transition moves. You will begin to “freestyle” routines with guidance form your instructors and learn to effortlessly combine various sensual movements and pole spin and tricks into a dance style of your own.   Pole Level 3 is based on a 4-week lesson plan rotation.

Prerequisite to attend Pole Level3 classes is completion of a Pole Level 2 “Level Up” assessment or have instructor approval before attending any Pole 3 class.  Clients must attend a minimum of eight (8) classes of Pole 3 prior to eligible to “Level Up” to Pole 4.

POLE LEVEL 4

At this level the clients will be challenged to a greater degree as they begin to tackle static holds using different parts of their body.  The spins, transitions and strength work become increasingly more challenging as we continue to prepare clients for more advanced levels.  Pole Level 4 is based on a 4-week lesson plan rotation.

Prerequisite to attend Pole 4 classes is completion of a Pole 3 “Level Up” assessment or have instructor approval before attending any Pole Level 4 class.  Clients must attend a minimum of eight (8) classes of Pole Level 4 prior to eligible to “Level Up” to Pole Level 5.

INTERMEDIATE POLE

Intermediate Pole is a mixed level pole class for intermediate pole students in Pole Level 3 or Pole Level 4.  Topics covered will be techniques from these levels.  This class provides the clients fluidity to move through extra guided pole workouts geared towards a mixed levels.

Prerequisite to attend Intermediate Pole is completion of Pole  Level2 “Level Up” assessment.  Attendance in Intermediate Pole will count towards the eight (8) class minimum for Pole Level 3 or Pole Level 4 “Level Up” assessments.

POLE LEVEL 5

At this Level clients have developed their skills and strength to take on new challenging  thigh and hip holds. They will learn intricate spins and greater strength building techniques.  At Pole level 5 you would be comfortable with freestyle dancing and the instructors will help you create a sequence of pole skills, sensual movements, spins, and tricks that flow seamlessly into each other. Pole 5 is based on a 4-week lesson plan rotation.

Prerequisite to attend Pole Level 5 classes is completion of a Pole Level 4 “Level Up” assessment or have instructor approval before attending any Pole Level 5 class.  Clients must attend a minimum of eight (8) classes of Pole Level 5 prior to eligible to “Level Up” to Pole Level 6.

POLE LEVEL 6

There has been a lot of laughter, aches, bumps and bruises to reach this level!! You have overcome so many challenges and accomplished things that you never thought you would!  At this level you will further enhance your skills and strength by tackling Advanced spins, tricks and transitions.  Clients will learn new ways of climbing and inverting on the pole as well as truly acrobatic aerial static holds.  Your strength & flexibility will continue to grow as your prepare to enter the ultimate advance level of Aradia Fitness pole classes… Pole Level 7!  Pole Level  6 is based on a 4-week lesson plan rotation.

Prerequisite to attend Pole Level 6 classes is completion of a Pole Level 5 “Level Up” assessment or have instructor approval before attending any Pole Level 6 class.  Clients must attend a minimum of eight (8) classes of Pole Level 6 prior to eligible to “Level Up” to Pole Level 7.

POLE LEVEL 7

The ultimate level of pole dance fitness!  Welcome to our Advanced series. You have now successfully mastered Pole level 1 through Pole level 6 and are ready to take your pole journey to the next level.  In Pole  Level 7, instructors will cover various topics from pole techniques, new combos, drops & handsprings, acrobatic floor work and more.Prerequisite to attend Pole Level  7 classes is completion of a Pole Level 6 “Level Up” assessment or have instructor approval before attending any Pole Level 7 class.

ADVANCED POLE

Advanced Pole is a mixed level pole class for advanced pole students in Pole Level 5, Pole Level 6 or Pole Level 7.  Topics covered will be techniques from these levels.  This less formal class gives clients an extra, guided pole workout geared specifically for advanced level students.

Prerequisite to attend Advanced Pole is completion of Pole Level 4 “Level Up” assessment.  Attendance in Advanced Pole will count towards the eight (8) class minimum for Pole Level 5 or Pole Level 6 “Level Up” assessments.

CARDIO POLE

In this hour long class you will dance and spin your way to a heart pumping workout! Cardio Pole Dance is a great addition to your regular workout and is designed for students who have taken at least four pole classes. Great class for endurance, dance and strength.

ARADIA FLEXY:

 In this class you will follow a series of stretching exercises that will stretch your muscles from head to toe. This class is designed to increase and improve your flexibility to prevent injury, maintain healthy joints, counter the soft tissue tightening effects of aging and help with your pole fitness classes. All levels are welcome!!

Masala Bhangra

Spice up your cardio workout with this dance based fun workout class.

Masala Bhangra is a lifestyle program where the Dhol Drum beats meets the glamour of Bollywood. With easy to follow choreography, participants are encouraged to move, touch and inspire! People of all ages are nurtured in changing their lives, empowering their minds and strengthening their bodies through the power of expressing themselves with movement.

Masala Bhangra® is an Indian-dance based program, designed for people of all ages and fitness levels who love to stay physically active. Masala Bhangra® is an ACE, AFAA, Fitness Australia and AFLCA approved program. Specifically, it introduces high energy Bhangra and Bollywood dance movements in an easy-to-follow fitness format, and is a mechanism by which thousands of people have been moved, touched and inspired to become physically active. With the dance choreography directly influenced by the music and dance of modern Bhangra and Bollywood styles, Masala Bhangra is a fresh and exciting addition to the world of fitness and dance. It allows you to channel your masculine side with Bhangra and your feminine grace with Bollywood. Move to the beat of the dhol and unleash your yin yang to a higher level.

 

 

YOGALICIOUS

Based on the sensual workout from our beginner classes, Yogalicious combines yoga & Pilates into a fabulous full body workout with a sexy twist of course!  Strengthen your core muscles while learning to move your body in a deliciously sensuous way.  Dress comfortably in yoga pants a t-shirt; no shoes needed.

POLERINA

Polerina is a ballet inspired class using the classical Vagonova and Balanchine Method of technique designed to improve a dancer’s range of motion, enhance muscle flexibility and increase their level of core muscle strength. Through a variety of stretches and strengthening exercises, dancers will also increase their awareness of their own body’s potential as it connects to expression through movement. Students will focus on building the flexibility, strength, and control needed to execute all levels of pole movement and tricks.

ARADIA FLEXY:

 In this class you will follow a series of stretching exercises that will stretch your muscles from head to toe. This class is designed to increase and improve your flexibility to prevent injury, maintain healthy joints, counter the soft tissue tightening effects of aging and help with your pole fitness classes. Aerial Yoga

child aerialAerial Yoga is a blend of yoga and aerial circus arts, utilizing a silk hammock as a prop to aid the students in surrender during the traditional postures that are difficult to achieve due to physical injuries or emotional fear. Practicing Aerial yoga helps with physical healing as it aids natural alignment, decompression of the spine and joints. It increases blood flow to the pituitary glands and reversal of blood in inversion nourishes the skin, eyes, and face. It helps with detoxifying Lymphatic system.
